DESERT LIFE

Around one third of land on Earth is desert. Deserts are dry areas of land with very few plants and very little water. Most deserts are in hot regions of the world. In summer, the temperature is very high during the day, but in winter it can be freezing at night!
Desert plants and animals have adapted to the extreme conditions.
Cacti store water in their trunks, and have long roots to access underground water. Desert animals such aas large lizards and snakes only need to eat once or twice a month.

  1. Hello Raquel:
I was having a look to your blog and I found this post interesting. I think it´s important to practice comprehension with texts because it´s a good way to know how deep in the language a student is involved. In my opinion the text is clear, simple to understand and it is not an activity that takes too much time doing it.

  2. Hello Rachel,
I've been watching your blog, and I found it very motivating and interesting. I think that this activity is very well planned, since in Primary Education, it is important to work on content related to reading comprehension. In addition, the subject is interesting and close to the students, so I see it very attractive. However, I believe that if you work these activities, using some ICT application, the motivation of the students will be even greater, and it is possible that the students see it as a game.

I liked you blog very much.
    Greetings, Fer.
